Taking place over the Easter weekend in April, this three day immersion will give participants a chance to dedicate time to their printmaking practice. Participants will enjoy the opportunity to experiment, play, explore and focus on their chosen technique.

Join Sarah Kirby for a three day exploration of layered, organic Linocut techniques. Sharing her artistic practice and methods you will be working to produce a small edition of a reduction linocut prints. You will work with building colour using different sized rollers, opaque and transparent inks, layering up images and stencils.

The course is suitable for either beginners or at those wishing to push the boundaries of their practice - developing confidence to allow work unfold in new and perhaps unplanned ways, each stage of cutting informed by the previous print. Your final prints, although printed from the same block will each be unique through deliberate variations of colour at each layer.

An opportunity to work in a small group with an artist with countless hours cutting and inking to produce exquisite and rich linocut works.
